With 7 studio albums and 3 shows in Israel, Regina Spektor is coming back to us with her recent album tour - Remember Us To Life, which was published in 2016. We asked her to choose 10 songs that she's fond of, and tell us what's her connection to each one

Elliott Smith - Needle In The Hay (from Elliott Smith)

This is a song I love to walk the New York City streets to...  It's incredible how much intensity there is in this track. I recommend the whole record that song comes from- often he rocks harder on one acoustic guitar than people do with entire bands.

Courtney Barnett - Elevator Operator

This is a really fun song by a young woman who writes really interesting and great lyrics. I recommend the whole record that this song comes from.

A rose for Emily - The Zombies

This is an incredible band from England, they were contemporaries of The Beatles and have made some of the most beautiful, and somehow overlooked, music. Again- I recommend the whole record this song comes from- it is amazing, and I have listened to it a thousand times yet still love it!

Pat Benatar - We Belong

This song is just so romantic to me... I love the production of it, it's got a timeless feeling, even though it's so 80's sounding at the same time. I love the 80's a lot. Her voice is so great!

David Bowie - Space Oddity

This is one of the most epic songs in every way... the words, the feeling, the production. Oh and after you sing along to this one, listen to the first 5 tracks off of Hunky Dory. You will have done a lot with your day...

Leonard Cohen - Famous Blue Raincoat Lyrics HD

This song is magical, and this recording is too. The story he tells, his voice, and the feeling you get having listened to it all, in the end adds up to gratitude. What an incredible song and songwriter...

Joni Mitchell - Both Sides Now (HD)

A wise and beautiful song by one of the most unique and talented artists... Joni made a lot of adventurous music- using interesting tunings and arrangements, but this deceptively simple song always finds its way back to my ears...

Jeffrey Lewis - Chelsea Hotel Oral Sex Song

Jeff Lewis is a music staple of the Lower East Side, NYC. A brilliant songwriter and an ever inspiring artist. He has written some of the funniest and also heart aching songs. If you like comic books check out his art too, and after you listen to this one listen to "East River" and "The last time I did acid I went insane"...

The Moldy Peaches - Lucky Number Nine

This band is awesome. Listen to everything from "The Moldy Peaches" record, and dance around! Instant happiness. This used to be my going through security at airports record but I danced too much, so had to switch eventually.

BRONCHO - Class Historian [Official Music Video]

Another awesome dancing around song from a great semi new band. They aren't as well known as they should be but they're awesome.
